your tasks:

in this position, you will be responsible for developing power mmics with high bandwidth at frequencies beyond 40 ghz and high dynamic range, such as amplifiers, mixers and rf switches.
additionally, you will characterize single devices and passive components to further develop foundry models.
in developing power mmics, your activities will cover the complete spectrum of mmic design, from conceptual work and detailed design/layout to metrological characterization, redesign and transfer to series production at semiconductor manufacturers.
you will be part of a highly qualified team, and your daily activities will involve working closely with our in-house customers.
if you show interest, we will offer you the opportunity to take over project management tasks.

your qualifications:

university degree in electrical engineering with focus on rf engineering or microelectronics, at least 5 years of experience in mmic design
at least 5 years of professional experience in developing mmics
thorough knowledge of microwave and rf engineering and microwave circuit technology (amplifiers, mixers, switches, filters, etc.)
very good know-how analog circuitry in general
excellent knowledge of the relevant gaas and gan semiconductor technologies
solid skills in using mmic design flows, particularly in simulating linear and nonlinear microwave circuits
deep knowledge of keysight ads and matlab (or comparable design tools)
very good knowledge of 2.5/3d field simulators such as sonnet, momentum, microwave studio or hfss
self-directed and goal-oriented approach to work
above-average commitment and ability to work under pressure as well as excellent social skills
good knowledge of written and spoken english
